Physical Therapy


Physical Therapists treat all types of musculoskeletal conditions as well as general deconditioning.  They use modalities (ie hot packs, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation), myofascial release, stretching, and especially strengthening.  Some therapists specialize in work conditioning, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, or aquatic therapy.

 

 

Rick Bauersfeld, PT has been director of physical therapy since 1981.  He grew up in Oregon and played football at the Oregon college of Education.  He graduated from the school of physical therapy at Washington University.  He enjoys coaching various youth sports, golf, and being a husband and a father to his family of six.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Abby Holt,  MS, PT, CLT joined MCO in 2004.  She is a graduate of  Augustana College and earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Washington University.  She treats all musculoskeletal conditions, and has specialized training in lymphedema management as well as work conditioning.

 

 

Lee Noonan, PT joined MCO in 2001.  He worked as a therapy aide before returning to school to earn a degree in physical therapy at Bradley University in 2005.  He treats all musculoskeletal conditions, and has specialized training in work conditioning and functional capacity evaluation.

 

 

Courtney Yamada, PT,MS joined MCO in 2002.  She graduated from Wesleyan in 1997 and earned a masters in physical therapy at Des Moines University in 1999.  She treats all musculoskeletal conditions, but has specialized training in women's health, pelvic floor therapy, and shoulders.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exercising.   

 

Sheila Blunier, PTA joined MCO in 2003.  She became certified as a physical therapy assistant through Illinois Central College in 1998.  She worked at St. Joseph hospital from 1998 until 2003.  She treats all types of orthopedic conditions.  She enjoys cooking, church activities, singing, babysitting for her niece, and spending time with her family.

 

 

Jim Modglin, PTA joined MCO in 2004.  He has been a certified physical therapy assistant for nine years.  He is a life-long Chicago Cub and Dallas Cowboy fan and he enjoys golf, cooking, and spending time with his family.

 

 

 

 

Donna Noonan, PTA joined MCO in 2001.  She has been a certified physical therapy assistant since 1991 and graduated from Illinois Central College.  She is co-coordinator of the work conditioning program and has assisted with women's Health for the past five years.  She is married to Lee Noonan (above) and they enjoy boating, shopping, and spending time with their kids.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anna Roten, PTA has been practicing physical therapy for over twenty years as a physical therapist assistant.  She attended ICC and graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science.  Anna's interests include bread baking, hiking, and indulging in local culinary flavors.

 

 

 

 

Diane Swanson, PTA joined MCO in has been a certified physical therapy assistant since 1982.  She graduated from Southern Illinois University and treats all types of orthopedic conditions.  She has been married for 25 years and enjoys spending time with her family, beading, fishing, cooking, playing blackjack and riding her Harley.

 

 

 

 

Sarah Follmer, PT, DPT joined MCO in [year]. She graduated Bradley University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009. She enjoys horseback riding, reading (her favorite book is the Twilight series) and spending time with her kids.
