McLean County Orthopedics is proud of it's podiatry division that  is dedicated to the elimination of foot pain and to providing the highest quality care for disorders of the ankle, heel and foot.   Our podiatrists, Dr. Brian Hamm DPM, FACFAS and Dr. Gerald Paul DPM, FACFAS are highly respected in the medical community in Bloomington and throughout Central Illinois and each has over ten years experience in private practice.

Foot pain is very common and can be particularly debilitating. A number of structural deformities or inflammatory conditions can lead to foot pain, including arthritis, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, pes planus, hallux valgus, neuroma, diabetic neuropathy, bunions, and trauma. MCO uses the lastest minimally invasive treatments such as extra-corporeal shock wave therapy (orthotripsy), arthroscopic surgery, therapy, orthotics, minor procedures, and more traditional surgeries if needed. We believe that we have two of the finest podiatric foot surgeons in Illinois.   

1. Diagnostic Testing - X-ray, MRI, Footmaxx Pressure Mapping, & Electrodiagnostic testing are available onsite.  MCO houses orthopedic specialists of all types who are available to confer regarding other involved areas of the body, if needed. 

    

2. Orthotics - Onsite pressure mapping with the Footmaxx system ensures properly fitted, custom manufactured, in-shoe orthotics.  We also have splinting, casting, and prosthetic devices available.

    

3. Therapy -   Available On the MCO Campus.

    

4. Office Procedures - Cortisone injections & minor procedures can be performed in our office procedure rooms.

    

5. Surgery - A state-of-the-art, outpatient surgery center is available on-site.  The Center For Outpatient Medicine (TCOM) is a JCAHO accredited institution where all types of orthopedic surgeries are performed, and where Dr. Paul and Dr. Hamm perform all types of foot & ankle surgery.  This includes minimally invasive surgery, such as Arthroscopic surgery, as well as traditional open surgery. Of course, MCO is highly accustomed to caring for patients in the perio-operative period.
