Work Conditioning has been proven to increase the chances of an injured worker successfully returning to work. This relies on three factors:
1. A Proven System - The Workwell System (previously known as Isernhagen) is the most widely used work conditioning program in the world and is used at the Mayo Clinic and other great medical centers. It was developed over a number of years by carefully studying outcomes and changing the method to produce the best possible results.
2. An Individualized Approach - A Functional Capacity Evaluation is performed prior to the start of work conditioning to obtain a detailed view of an individual's function and to help determine what conditioning activities can be safely performed.
3. Highly Trained Therapists - Physical Therapists oversee the work conditioning program. In addtition to years of experience treating musculoskeletal conditions, they have undergone extensive training in the Workwell approach.
