McLean County Orthopedics Sponsoring 2016 Jingle Bell Run

McLean County Orthopedics is proud and glad to sponsor this year's Jingle Bell Run to conquer arthritis. Arthritis is an informal way of referring to joint pain or disease and affects more than 50 million adults and 300,000 children.

The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get out, get moving and raise funds and awareness to cure America's #1 cause of disability. In communities nationwide, this annual event brings together people from all walks of life to shout "Yes, we will live life to its fullest while searching for a cure!" As a Champion of Yes, kick off your holidays by helping conquer arthritis once and for all!

There are over 100 different types of arthritis, with osteoarthritis being the most common. When the cartilage – the slick, cushioning surface on the ends of bones – wears away, bone rubs against bone, causing pain, swelling and stiffness. Over time, joints can lose strength and pain may become chronic. The physicians of McLean County Orthopedics treat persons afflicted with arthritis to manage their symptoms, from injections to physical therapy to joint replacement.

Would you join us in this cause by attending the Jingle Bell Run or making a donation to the Arthritis Foundation? You can even register and join the team to "Jingle in Your Jammies" - stay at home and we'll send you your shirt! Use code "MCO2016" for a $5 discount. If you are not interested in a Jingle Bell Run shirt, simply make a donation online. Click the link to make a donation or join the team!

Come join the fun Sunday, November 13 at 1pm at Heartland Community College. Wear a holiday-themed costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Show off your ugly Christmas sweater. Complete a 5-kilometer run or walk with your team members, spreading smiles, good cheer and a winning spirit and be a Champion of Yes!

See you there!
