Elizabeth K. Plocher, MD

Elizabeth Plocher BioSpecialties: Hand and Wrist

Orthopedic surgeon, Elizabeth Plocher, MD came on board at McLean County Orthopedics in 2018. Dr. Plocher is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic hand and wrist surgeon. She treats patients of all ages with conditions ranging from acute trauma such as fractures to chronically degenerative disorders such as wrist arthritis.

Dr. Plocher is a Minnesota native; living there her whole life through undergraduate college. Her training journey then took her to upstate New York and Boston, MA. It’s safe to say she’s not afraid of the cold, but with less extreme weather here in Illinois, you’ll find her out riding her bike more often. She is married to a fellow surgeon, Dr. Chandler Wilfong, who practices at OSF Healthcare in Peoria. Together, they like to explore new places and take adventures close to home and overseas. When Dr. Plocher is at home, she can be found in the kitchen cooking up a new recipe she found. She’s always up for a challenge in a board game with friends and extended family to keep her on her toes!
